Blink’s Wired Floodlight Camera is an integrated camera-and-light unit. The similarly named Wired Floodlight Camera Mount is an accessory for a compatible separate Blink camera. The word “Mount” changes what you need to buy.
This matters when a sale card or a shopping option says “Floodlight Only.” On the US listing checked here, that option belongs to the older 2600-lumen unit with a built-in camera. It does not mean every Blink floodlight-only package includes a camera. Match the full product name, generation and contents rather than interpreting one option label in isolation.
Identify the two products first

Blink currently lists Mini 2, Mini 2K+, Outdoor 4 and Outdoor 2K+ as compatible with the newer mount. Do not extend that list to the original Mini, another brand or a camera with a connector that merely looks similar. A camera bundle and an accessory-only listing can have different contents.
Buying the integrated 2600-lumen camera
The linked item is the black Blink Wired Floodlight Camera, ASIN B0B5VGZTXH, with its built-in camera and installation kit. It is a candidate for someone who wants that complete arrangement at a suitable existing outdoor light position. It is not the newer 3000-lumen USB-C mount.

Its limitations matter more than the discount: you cannot swap its built-in camera for a Mini 2K+, it is not a solar or USB-powered camera, and it does not have battery backup. If camera replacement or a particular newer model is your priority, investigate a verified compatible mount-and-camera package instead. Can the existing light position support it?
Blink specifies a 4-inch round, UL-listed weatherproof electrical box for the integrated camera’s US installation, with appropriate live, neutral and ground connections. Its published supply range is 100–240VAC, 50/60Hz. A working old light alone does not prove that the box, wiring, mounting orientation or local installation requirements are suitable.
Have a qualified installer confirm those conditions before ordering if they are uncertain. This is a purchase checklist, not a wiring procedure. Follow the product instructions, disconnect power at the breaker before installation, and use a licensed electrician when you cannot identify or safely work with the existing arrangement.
Also decide how power stays available during camera use. A household member switching off the light circuit may also remove the camera’s supply. Record which control feeds the location and have the installer propose the correct arrangement; do not bypass or modify a switch based on this article.
The picture and the saved clip are separate checks
The integrated camera connects directly to home Wi-Fi without requiring a Sync Module for that connection. Blink documents optional cloud recording and a separate local-storage route using Sync Module 2 plus a USB drive. Owning the light-and-camera unit alone does not establish that either archive is configured.
Write down the recording route you will keep after any trial ends. Include the exact module, storage medium and service plan in the total cost. Newer modules and camera generations can have different storage arrangements; confirm their current compatibility rather than assuming an old USB requirement applies to all of them. Complete this package check before checkout
- Product identity: save the full title and model/ASIN, including whether it is the integrated Camera or the Camera Mount.
- Camera contents: identify the camera included in this selected offer, or the exact compatible camera you already own.
- Installation: include any box, electrical work, sealing and access needed for the actual location.
- Recording: list the chosen storage hardware and any continuing subscription separately.
- View: confirm that the light position can also give the camera a useful view; light coverage is not identification detail.
After installation, check light operation, live view, notifications and a saved clip as separate outcomes. Walk the intended approach with an authorized person and review what the recording actually shows. This is an owner acceptance exercise, not a test we claim to have performed.
